Hardanger

Over 20 years ago I was given a piece of Hardanger that my best friend gifted me. it was beautiful, and fascinating. “I could do this” I thought to myself. She assured me that it might be best to take a class…but I knew I could figure it out. I went to my local needlework shop and of course picked out a 36″ runner for my first project. The pattern was in a foreign language and there was only a quarter chart printed. “I think I need to take a class”. I studied under a fabulous women who had studied under a master needle worker in Europe. She handed down her techniques and understanding of this intricate form of needlework. I was hooked!! as years went on I strive to create nearly flawless hardanger. Each of the chart packs are created with detailed instructions and technique diagrams for each stitch used in each original Hardanger creation.
